Blue Cheese Burger
Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef
1 cup Statesboro Blue Cheese
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
8 hamburger buns
Lettuce, and red onion slices for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. If using an outdoor grill, oil the grates to prevent sticking.
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, half of Statesboro Blue Cheese (1/2 cup), parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and form them into patties, creating a small dimple in the center of each.
Grill the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side until medium-rare. In the last minute of cooking, add some of the remaining Statesboro Blue Cheese on top of each patty.
Remove the patties and let them rest for a few minutes. Meanwhile, toast the buns on the grill until they are lightly golden.
On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, and then a patty. Stack another patty on top, followed by onion slices and any additional toppings you prefer. Place the top bun on and press slightly to secure.
