Blue Cheese Asparagus
- 2 lbs asparagus
- 1 cup Statesboro Gorgonzola Blue Cheese Crumbles
- 12 slices Nueske’s Apple Woods Smoked Bacon
- Olive Oil as needed
- 1/4 cup Pecan Pieces
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to state
- 1 Garlic clove, sliced
Quick blanche the Asparagus in salted water, shock in Ice Water.
Pre-cook the bacon slightly Wrap the Asparagus in the Bacon.
Place into a baking dish, season with salt & Pepper drizzle with Olive Oil and sliced Garlic
Bake at 350F until the Asparagus is tender and the Bacon crisp, top with Blue Cheese and Pecan pieces and serve.
Serve immediately .
